Some of you may remember my thread a couple weeks ago about misleading headers offering free shipping and then buried in the auction text was the information that the seller would ship free only if you won 3 of her auctions in 10 days. Well I got the item I purchased from her, it was nice but I was still a bit steamed over the shipping issue, so I left a neutral. Just thought some of you might like to see the FB thread.

Neutral: Item very nice, but misleading offers for free shipping

Response: People should read the terms before bidding! I free ship to winners of 3 in 10 !

Follow-up: Header reads: "Twinset Style- John Paul Richard!$$*Free S&H" .....You decide

Now I wait for the retaliatory feedback from her to MY acct.

So you left this seller a neutral after you clearly stated, "I got the item I purchased from her, it was nice" ?

I find that rude on your behalf.

Why punish the seller simply because you failed to read her entire description and TOS ?

I do not agree with the practice of buy 3 in 10 and get free shipping, but it is a special offer the seller is providing and if you simply won 1 item and had to pay shipping then so be it.

I would leave you a negative for that.

I AS WELL OFFER FREE SHIPPING WHEN THE AUCTION INCREASES BY 50% AND ALSO STATE FREE SHIPPING IN THE HEADER...I CAN NOT BELIVE YOU DID THAT TO THE PERSON!!!!!! YOU WERE THE ONE WHO DID NOT READ THE AUCTION.....I EXPAIAN THE OFFER AT THE END OF THE AUCTION........LIKE POSTED BY OTHERS READ YOUR AUCTIONS!!!!!!!.....YOU ARE A MEAN PERSON

If the terms were clearly stated in the auction (not discovered later in a post-auction email), then IMHO you had no right to leave a neutral if all other aspects of the transaction were satifactory. Sorry, but that's the way I see it.

Oh brother.

According to your first thread, the shipping promo info was "buried" in her TOS as follows (this is from your post):

****WIN THREE OF MY CLOTHING/SHOE AUCTIONS IN 10 DAYS AND I PAY YOUR SHIPPING!****

Yeah, all caps set off with asterisks sure is "buried".

What you didn't do is read the TOS carefully. This is not an unusual shipping promotion, or one that's hard to understand. For whatever reason, YOU missed it. That's hardly seller's fault.

Whew! I feel better... I sometimes have auctions that say "Free Shipping" in the title and my terms are set off as a "special" in bold red and to get free shipping you just have to use "Buy It Now" and pay electronically. All but one of my auctons ended that way last week and lots took advantage of it.

After reading the original thread about this I thought maybe I was being misleading in my titles...
