I'm amazed. On free listing day I listed 24 items. All were relists. Some had been listed two or three times.
I have 5 sold via BIN and a great bid on a sixth.
Incredible. I didn't expect any at all to sell until after Chrismas.
Hope the rest of you are doing this well or better.

25 items listed, 2 BINS, 8 other items with bids, and still a week to go. No complaints here.
BTW - Most of mine were relists as well.

I listed 165 items and have only 8 bids . I usually would have 35-40 by now and when the auctions end I sell about 65% of what I sell. I use goto auction services and with my traffic reports a lot of listings have not even been viewed yet most only 1-2 times .

I've got bids in on 5 out of the 33 items I have listed. Several are on the relists, which I thought were total dogs. I'm pleased...and hoping for more joy in the days to follow.

I listed 167 ( ALL relists) 9 sold, and 9 with bids. Not too bad since I hadn't planned on listing anything till next week. Nice to clear out some of the inventory this way
I NEVER complain about sales.

As far as sold and bid on, I only have about a 10% return on my auctions. However, I listed 400+ auctions so I am fine with my 10% so far.

I listed 101, and so far there are 6 uctions with bids. But I'm selling books, so the selling percentage is pretty low, as I know. But 6 is better than nothing any time!
I still have a few days, too.

I listed 17, all relists. Had one Buy-it-Now on Wednesday evening (although there has been NO response to my end-of-auction notice - and I'm afraid I am looking at another DB). Have one bid on the remaining 16 items.
heike55, those two items are books, and there has been little interest in anything else!

6 out of 18 sold...and I started the opening bids twice as high as I usually do.
2 of these were relists.
A very encouraging start to the new year.
Have a very happy and healthy holiday everyone!

Note of interest in regard to Free Listing Day:
Total number of listings bottomed at about 3.5 million on Dec 20th. On the 21st, the total was up to about 5 million. Most probably as a result of Buy-It-Now early endings, the total count now has fallen back to about 4.2 million. In other words, about half those new listings have ended and not been replaced.

Wonder what incentive they will try next?

I loaded a total of ~400. 3,5,7, and 10 days. Only about 25 were 3 day and about 1/2 closed with bids, better than average. {I set my opening bid at a fair value and most items don't get bid up]
Since I used Mister lister, I couldn't use BIN. But I manually added BIN to a few and several have closed with BIN.
The other 350 or so are getting typical # of bids at this point in time.
I don't think this Free listing day was well publicised. I didn't learn about it until I looked here, and in the Christmas Season I didn't have a chance to look here very often.
Amazingly you still get the free relist even though the original listing was free. So the one's that close without a bid will be banked and relisted later.

On one of my ID's I listed 80 items that were not relists. So far I've got bids on about 30 of them, and had 6 items that were sold as "buy now".
A very happy camper here!

It seems odd to me that if ebay wants to use free listing day as a way to drum up business, they virtually keep it a secret. I am glad I benefited - mostly from reading this board - but I can imagine that ebay has lost plenty by not publicizing it.

My percentage is right around there, too. I'm thrilled--five BIN sales and bids on 20+ more items--some with multiple bids. Almost all of this stuff was relists. I'm getting a good number of page hits, too. The weird thing is, all my BIN sales were items I had listed a couple of times before with *no* action, at starting prices less than a third of the BIN price.
I figured I would learn something from all this--for example, that if it's an item where I need a free listing day to even partially make it worthwhile, then obviously some items just aren't worth the effort for the amount of time spent listing, etc. But then sometimes those little goofy things go ballistic. I've decided it's just plain fun to see what happens.
Happy holidays, everyone!
