Warmest Season's Greetings to all the good folks here at AW. It's been a long, but pleasant day so it feels good to at last have a "time-out" moment to do some browsing and chatting.
In my Christmas box this year were two lovely, older plates. I have never seen this mark before, nor could I find it in any of the books. Can anyone help identify this piece? I have an identical pair of these.

Thanks Fountainhouse. I thought perhaps it was as well. I'm going to give this message a boost back up to the top in case someone can help with the identification of the mark.
The mark itself is incised and looks like a stylized 'N:AAO' with a cross underneath. The cross has a small bar across the end of each arm. The circles on each side of the cross are marks left by the points of the kiln holder. There is a single dot over each 'A' and one dot to the center, right of the 'O'
The only information that I have on these is that they were purchased in an antique store in Montreal about seventy years ago and remained in the previous owner's possession until the recent estate sale where they were purchased as a lovely gift for me.
Sure hope someone can help with these and thanks to all for checking this post!

If it helps, that looks more like "N: 110." I've seen what appears to be an "A" as an Japanese style of writing the number "1."

I don't know that much about ceramics as I am a glassperson, but may I contribute?
It looks more like a Modern Italian or Portugese mark than Imari. Wait for Shoshana's input. We all learn so much from these threads!
