Let's see, it's Jan 3rd and what do we have so far?
1. Postage rates are going up, in the case of Priority, a LOT, with unpredictable effect on buyer's continuing enthusiasm to purchase stuff by mail [especially, I would guess, low-end stuff]
2. Half.com takes the opportunity to raise their shipping rates even higher to gouge customers that little bit more
3. Washington Post carried front page story on Monday including prediction that Amazon will be dead, at least in its current incarnation, within 6 months
4. Yahoo takes itself out of contention for most sellers by announcing it will charge listing fees
Funny, the only shoe that hasn't dropped yet (?) would be an announcement from ebay that BIN's will now cost 50 cents, or whatever. OTOH, the day is young...
