Anyone want to place a bet on what new surprises might be in store for us since eBay's latest outage? Ya gotta wonder what new feature they were trying to add (a.k.a. dikkin' around with) today.

Oh silly silly me for even thinking something like that. Tsk tsk AJ - it's into the bad dog box for you!

I'll bet it was that new "just give us all your money and shut up" feature they've been working on.

Naw - don't think so - that feature has always worked just fine.

You guys are joking right? You don't know what they are up to?

OK, OK, I'll let the CaT out of the bag. eBay is working on the integration of Yahoo! auctions...

I would certainly not be surprised that this "maintenance" is related to the Yahoo! debacle in some respect, whether directly or indirectly. I wonder if they're getting ready for the influx of Yahoo! sellers who were either listing very little on Ebay or hadn't been listed at all. Frankly, I hope that Lycos has beefed things up. It already looks better than Yahoo! did when I started over there.

They probably are adding new fee boxes to the buy it now option, which was free during the holidays

Sort of keeping that "ho, ho, ho" holiday spirit alive year-round.
