I am trying to establish a paypal account and am finding problems, especially a horrible lack of "customer service". Is this par for the course? Have others had similar poor response or lack of response from payapl?
How about Billpoint? Have others had better luck with them?

Curious

Paypal has worked fine for me. A couple of times I had a problem getting in or whatever and would email them. They will respond to your email, but not immediately. It takes a day or two in my case. But otherwise no problems. Don't know much about billpoint. Does anyone know which is a cheaper fee to us?

The fee structure is a little different, but the pricing comes out pretty close on either one.
Billpoint is easier to use for the customer the first time out. Paypal requires jumping through more hoops, and they ask for a checking account number, which freaks some people out.
Paypal is easier after you sign up. Billpoint requires the seller to send an invoice unless you use the 'instant purchase' feature, which is not currently supported by Auction Watch. I feel like Billpoint is more solid as a company, & reviews I've read agree.

About 50% of what I sell gets paid by PayPal with a smaller amount by BillPoint. My experience with PayPal has been excellent - money transferred promptly. Only criticism of BillPoint is with PayPal buyer can make payment, with billpoint I have to generate invoice which is time consuming when listing lots of auctions. Disappointed with ExchangePath - customer paid 3 days ago and still hasn't even shown up in that account as being there. Hope this info is helpful.
