I've received that email or similar ones in the past. Personally I expect the entire thing is a scam, I've even had such emails addressed to eBay members show up in email accounts which I've never used in association with my transactions at eBay.

I found a more effective way to combat the problem is to forward the email to the web-hosting service and see if you can get them to shut down the page linked to in the email...

I got this today! It was addressed Dear ebay member but was in my AW email acct.(and NOT in my ebay one! ha..go figure).

I simply delete it...I'm had a lot of practice with that delete key..I'm getting pretty fast at it too!

About once a week. I want a grant for travel expenses and better weapons to find and deal with spammers as a public service.

I received that several weeks ago. Turned it over to SPAMCOP, and the report showed that AbuseNet had already taken action...
Obviously, the person is doing it again, using a different mailbox.

Because it also said "undisclosed recipient", and I used a filter to block the "When the to line shows Undisclosed etc...", I ended up blocking friends and family who were sending me jokes and stuff... Had to reset my "filters"...
Gosh Shosh!

Just received this email today at 12:17 CST. This is the second one that I have gotten. Should I send it to ebay or just delete it.
Thanks

I have my filters set up to send those directly into the trash, too, Shosh. The fact that it deletes those darned email jokes from friends and family is just an added benefit.

A few years ago, as I recall it, eBah had porno-bots get into their system and fetch virtually everyone's e-mails. We got showered with a continuous rain of porno span as a result.

Back then, your user e-mail address was your user name. That's when eBah did away with just using e-mail addresses as your user name and went with the option of using made-up handles.

The result seemed to have fended off the robots by and large. However, I'm sure the spam world is constantly trying to find ways around firewalls.

I think I've gotten three of these. I just went all through Ebay looking for a way to send it to them but came up empty. What are the e-mail addresses I can use without having to go through all thier forms that don't seem to apply anyway? thanks, mikeboy

not only did I get one, but I got a second one correcting the first one they sent. Never stated the mistake only called it a corection, because this was so important to get the exact info to me on something as good as this and I should not be left out. Well,I guess I am left out, ignored both of them.
