Really, what did you lose in this outage??

I had no listings up, and several sellers have lost $400.00 in bids from me. And, i'm probably developing the Stockholm Syndrome as we speak in my mind.

Well...hmmmmm...I almost lost my MIND...

Since Christmas Eve I've had the following:

1. Worse ice storm in history of Oklahoma..and first one in my life. ( Have you ever seen a large tree bend over like a human touching their toes and not break? Have you ever seen a chain link fence buckle because of the ice in the little 'squares'?)

2. Christmas day I slipped and fell...sigh..

3. My ISP went down because of all the telephone polls that broke...was out for about 5 days!

4. Cable went out for about 5 days

5. Lights went out for 48 hours

6. Phone went out when lights did.

7. Flashlights didn't work..needed more batteries.

8. Local radio stations were out for over a week! (No radio, phone, TV, ....world could have ended and I wouldn't have known it.)

9. Not even a newspaper for 2 days because workers couldn't get there to put it out. And paperpeople couldnt' deliver.

10. My car died. Not that I could go anywhere anyway.

11. My CD ROM died.

12. I got a digital camera that is so bad I'm returning it when I can dig out and get there.(car has been fixed)

13. Couldn't go to after Christmas sales because I couldn't get to the roads.

14. No church

15. Ebay was out...all day...

Now...that feels better...anyone got any simpathy for me??? sniff sniff

But today I didn't loose anything because of the outage...nope...

So far this has been a really slow week for bids, then ebay goes down for a day! Yeah, that really helped.

Auctions are extended, refunding of all fees.

I think I did better, I don't think I lost anything.

If I was a bidder and the auction was still open, I would bid.

If I didn't know anything and was watching an auction I certainly would check that auction to see who did win it.

When I saw it still open I would bid.

If a half-day outage at ebay is going to really affect a seller, then they need to look at another line of work.

Yes, I am tired of all the grumbling. Like a car spinnning tires. It whines and sings, but goes nowhere.
