I know we all gripe about non paying bidders. Lord they get my goat too.
But I just had one person, who won an auction on Dec 12, but never paid. She said twice, "the check is in the mail", well it never got here.
So last week, I wrote her that if I didn't receive payment by Dec 30th..I was going to file a NPB with Ebay. Well..no payment..so I filed the NPB.
I get an email from her today saying "the check is in the mail" I wrote her back telling her not to bother, I already filed the NPB.
Should I not have responded to her? Is there anything that anyone has found to make NPBs easier. I am not a hard person, if she would have emailed me and said, "My car broke..would it be okay if I paid you next week." I would have said fine, I have done this before...stuff happens.
Any ideas..comments...
I now get an email from her saying that she is sorry..but has had no computer for two weeks and couldn't use anyone else's. Funny..she won and paid for a couple of auctions after mine. sigh!!!

actually after you file NPB the buyer has 10 days to contact you and arange payment if you tell the buyer forget it you may not get the FVF refund. http://www.Dman-N-Company.com

dman:
Actually, that is wrong. When you file for a NPB, the letter to the bidder states they have 10 days to contact the seller - however - since so much time has lapsed the seller is no longer obligated to sell to the high bidder and may decide to not sell the item to them anymore.
Just by filing NPB it does not guarantee that bidder that they may still purchase that item.
The email to the buyer says that the seller does not have to 'hold' the item for the buyer since so much time has passed - There is no 'requirement' to work it out if the seller does not want to.

sammack3,
I have deleted your post. With the item description you have provided, there is enough information to readily identify the Seller in question. By posting identifying information, including auction numbers, links or IDs, the Community Guidelines require an invitation to the identified parties to participate in the discussion.
If you wish to post the information again, please review the procedures outlined in the CGs before doing so.

In the few cases where the buyer seems genuinely interested even after I've filed FVF, I use something like this:
"Because your payment was not received within the stated period, I have requested a FVF from eBay. Once your payment arrives, I will be happy to notify eBay of the transaction status."
