Gawd! I remember some of these from my childhood. I can't tell you about Eames - the ones I saw were gold and avacado green in color, and made by my Aunt Mabel. It must have been about 1968.

ACKK! Include a pair of sunglasses to the high bidder!
While I wish you the best on your auction, I have to say----Please, Lord, don't let this style make a comeback.

What the heck is "Eames era"? I've seen it often and it does not seem to be describing anything much except that 50s-70s moder crap. GENUINE EAMES furniture is much classier and earlier and really expensive.
I'd call them "gaudy mid-century modern" and sell sunglasses with them.

I'm with brightid. Ow! (Thank you for putting them on a dark background. A white background would've triggered a migraine.)

They remind me of big peppermint candies.
Nothing is every too funky to sell! I'd give 'em a shot.

I see only 4 things wrong with them.
1.There aren't enough of them to fill out the tree.
2. They are too big.
3. Christmas is 50 weeks away (never underestimate the early shopper though)
4. The way they look in the light.(If it were pitch dark they would be fine)
Other than those things sell them.
The lady uptown in the lavender house with yellow and red shutters might like them. What's your Ebay ID?

Wow I didnt know they would cause so many negative responses!
I really like them. I got them for 3 bucks. Probably going to keep them.
In the seventies we stayed at the Heathrow Hotel in London a few times, they had a purple orange and pink color scheme in the rooms. I loved it. lol

Remember Gaudy or ugly sells. The ugler the higher price you will get. Anyone that decorates in the 50's 60's would just love them and there are quite a number of people that do. Blonde furniture, Bark Cloth, Silver metal Christmas trees they all bring back memories to the children of that era so now they are going out and buying to redecorate. Your pillows bring back memories as seen in this thread. They kinda match the pink hair on the girl that was on Politically incorrect.
Go for it.....

Really nice pillows...I believe they are late 50s, early 60s. I'd buy them.

Not my style but probably late 60's vintage. I buy all of this stuff I can get cause it sells at great prices!! The "real" antique dealers give me "The Look" whenever I buy this type of item but I laugh all the way to the bank while their stuff sits on shelves for years and their pockets are empty!

Kitsch1, it takes a special love of "kitsch" to really appreciate these. You either do or you don't. I am kind of a kitsch lover and my hubby isn't. BIG TIME ISN'T! But that doesn't stop me. Long live kitsch!

Blonde furniture, Bark Cloth, Silver metal Christmas trees
Blonde furniture and barkcloth are not "kitschy." Whether you like them or not, they actually do represent high style from a particular era. '40s "kitsch" might be represented by, for example, zoot suits or carnival chalkware. "Kitsch" is pretty over-the-top, you see, even when it's current. Velvet Elvises were always kitschy. Those singing bass are kitschy now and will be in 100 years (investors take note).
Aluminum Christmas trees, OTOH...I dunno, unless the era is "lounge".
