I have a lower model and shortly hope to graduate to the Olympus A-10 (still convincing myself to spend $2000) You chose a good camera. Olympus digitals are getting some of the highest marks from very reputable reviewers.
While there isn't anything specific to the camera you need to watch out for, you might want to take note of some general comments on digital photography.
Shoot in the high definition mode. This will give your computer much more information to work with when cropping or color correcting an image. You will be able to readjust your image to suit your needs and not have to worry about taxing a low resolution shot. Just remember, when you are done and your picture is everything you want it to be... reduce it. People really hate a 2 foot by 3 foot picture displaying on their screen after 3 minutes. I don't know why. People are funny that way. Resize the picture to fit the average computer screen resolution and no wider.
If you have items that need to show detail, remember to take a shot showing everything and then a close shot to show the needed detail. Don't forget to turn on the macro mode in the camera. It's the button with the little flower icon.
If you're taking close/macro shots you may want to work with natural light. A built-in flash washes everything out with intense light and your detail will be gone. If you can't get a good natural light shot then take a tissue (white only) and let it hang over the flash to diffuse some of the light. View your picture. If it's too much, double the tissue over and try again.
Try to keep your backgrounds simple. A cluttered background is going to distract the viewer from their interest. Be careful of anything behind or below with patterns. Some patterns do nasty things to digital pictures.
I you find yourself having particular problems, come back and ask. There's lots of people around to help. Good luck!
