I am looking for a descent digital camera to take pictures of my eBay goods. I am thinking of getting HP's Photosmart C200 camera. I was just wondering if any of you have had any experience with this model. If so, what's your opinion on the picture quality. TIA

I had this camera - it was my 4th digital camera. I had it for about a month and returned it. Horrible pics - and don't even think of taking any pics of anything red - just comes out as a big blob. If you are taking outdoor shots the pics are ok - but indoor shots are the worst. I returned it and got a Sony Mavica FD73 and couldn't be happier with the quality.

What is your price range? Try searchign the message center for "Fuji MX-1200"--there are some great shots posted from users with all different cameras on one thread. (I recently got the Fuji 1300 FinePix & am very pleased with it!)

I have been using this camera for over a year with no problems. I use it indoors and out. It is not the highest end camera on the market, but I have no complaints for what I use it for. would be happy to send you a link if you want to look at photos taken with it. I got it mostly for Ebay itims I sell, and I have sold everything i have listed. Just have to take the time to learn how to use it. I will upgrade sometime in the future, but if you are not planning on becomming a professional, I think it makes a great first digital camera for the price.

I had it as my first dig cam. It was a nice little camera but NO macro ability! You can't focus closer than 8" from subject and, for me, that was not viable as I sell a lot of fine jewelry and couldn't get close enough to subject to get a decent shot.
Now have Sony Mavica FD90 and love it! Super macro ability and great pics!

Thanks for everybodies comments. My price range is around $200. I have found the C200 on the net for $175shipped, which I am told is a good price. I have looked into the Mavica's, since everybody here is always saying how great they are, but they are a little to pricey for me. I am going to look into the Fuji MX-1200 now, and see what the specs are.
