I love sniping when I am the seller, but you know, it just frustrates the heck out of me when I am the buyer .
I guess you can't have it both ways...
I put a bid on something that I really, really wanted. I did my homework and knew what the highest bid on a completed item had been, and figuring I would get sniped, made my bid almost 40% higher than what had been previously been paid for the same item. Don't you know I was right! I was sniped and sniped and sniped...until...the end when I barely won the auction. The last bidder placed a bid at 39.4% above the highest completed auction with about 30 seconds to go. But it wasn't enough! I was sweating there for a while !

Guy snipes me on a football card. So I look for cards he has bids. Find one and then snipe him. It worked, I got my satisfaction and now have this wonderful $5 NSync Card.
