Which payment option do you prefer? I'm not a power seller so I do not plan on offering 10 different types of payment options...maybe one or two, besides checks/money orders. So, you let me know which one's the most efficient, most reliable, less of a headache, and overall best.
1)billpoint
2)exchangepath
3)paypal
4)payplace
5)paydirect
6)moneyzap
7)bidpay
Did I miss any?
Thanks!

Pay Pal is my favorite. After that Billpoint and Bidpay. I don't mess with any of the others.

Paypal.
Reason? It was the first to gain widespread acceptance and it apears that it is accepted by more sellers than the other services you mention (some of which I have never heard of).
I don't use any other services as a buyer or as a seller.

As a buyer and seller, I use only PayPal and have since it first came on the scene. It is fast and easy to use and I have never had any problems with it.

Yup - Paypal here too. I also have my own Merchant account - it's not as expensive as you might think either, but that's another thread.

As a buyer and a seller, I'd have to say PayPal - Most sellers get paid through PayPal and therefore their funds are there making it the easiest way to pay for an auction. I won't bid on an auction if it says money order only. It's too inconvenient.

As a buyer and as a seller I use PayPal. Have been using for almost a year (a long time in this business) and never a problem.
I have never used Billpoint as a buyer, but have an account and have been happy enough as a seller -- all has gone smoothly and the buyers who prefer it seem happy.
Sell it all! I SAID SELL IT ALL!

Another vote for Paypal.
I've used Billpoint but it's annoying to wait for a invoice before paying. I guess it's not much different than waiting for a sellers EOA email but it feels different somehow. I LOVE using Billpoint on BINs with the shipping already figured up. Buy it pay for it I'm done all in a couple of clicks.

billpoint tops my list, I get most of my on-line payments through them. I use instant pay in most of my auctions and often get several payments as soon as the auctions end.
I don't encourage paypal as I have had some minor issues with them, but have an account. I get about equal payments through paypal & paydirect.
I encourage my international buyers to use bidpay, but don't push it real hard otherwise. I registered as a seller there so I don't have to worry about them getting my address right. I've had no problems with them.

PayPal is the easiest and doesn't charge quite as much as Billpoint...
Billpoint is reliable, but the cost can be a drag. When they offer free promos, though, I really push Billpoint...
PayPlace is dead & gone...
BidPay is especially good for international buyers. The only downside is that they charge the buyer $5 per transaction. However they are free to the seller...
ExchangePath is dead & gone...

1)billpoint - I have used it and it was OK. A bit of a PITA, but it's what the seller wanted, and they didn't take PayPal.
2)exchangepath - Wouldn't touch it with an 11-foot pole as buyer or seller! See the exchangepath threads in the "AW PArtners" area on the message boards.
3)paypal - I like to use it as a BUYER, but would be extremely reluctant to accept it as a seller because of their CRAPPY security and lousy "protexction" ... see the paypal threads in the "AW PArtners" area on the message boards.
4)payplace - DEAD!
5)paydirect - DEAD!
6)moneyzap - Western Union ... long-time experience in the money transfer market, would use them as buyer or seller. Currently free for both, and they are honest about the possibility of charging in the future.
7)bidpay - I have no reason to use them as a buyer. As a seller, I've used them and liked it for international sales.

When I buy I like to use Paypal, I already have an account with them. I have never had any problem paying through them or receiving through them as a seller. So, this is one more vote for Paypal.

In accepting online payments I have had approximately:
97% of my payment come through Paypal
2% through Bidpay
1% through Billpoint
.000001% through Exchangepath (a total of 1, not including the AW refund)

The one I like is billpoint, just because when I get money into my paypal account, I tend to spend it! LOL I do like paypal too, and 95% of my buyers use it. I have used bidpay also, and that is a nice service too! Don't know about the rest, have never used them.
Just my 2 cents!<bluebounce>

Paypal here too... for buying and selling no problems at all. It is confusing trying to explain to first time users that they need to click the "email money" (can't remember the exact wording) link to send your payment, but I'm sending step by step instructions for 1st timers now.

I keep it simple,
PayPal = even with all the problems they have had, I haven't had any real issues with them(yet). They are pretty efficient about getting my money into my account with the wire transfers. And most buyers prefer it and use it. So I'm sticking with what the buyers want.
My own Merchant Account = for those buyers that want to pay by CC but don't trust the on-line transactions.
Check or Money Order =
I've tried PayDirect on some of my auctions with no results, I have decided to drop that option since Yahoos lastest manouver.

As a buyer, I have no preference between Billpoint or PayPal (except when Billpoint was having its $1 VISA discount or a seller is unverified by PayPal). I accept both as a seller, with PayPal being my preference, due to the Seller Protection and lower fees. I also list BidPay for international buyers, although I've yet to have one use it.

PAYPAL....quick and easy and have used it since it's inception. As a seller, just love the simplicity of it; instant payment including all details and mailing address of bidder and I can ship as soon as I get notification of payment. As a buyer...ummm, tend to spend what I have in my account too. But there are times, I exercise control (Ha!)and have let my money build up. I then just send for a check from PayPal which I usually get within a week. Despite whatever "problems" exist with PayPal, it's still the easiest, most well known and most convenient of all the online payment sevices. As a seller, I have also used Billpoint as a further convenience for my bidders, but dislike the waiting for deposits into my checking account which often takes a week or more.

Another vote for PayPal. I'm a buyer and a seller. I leave a cushion in my PayPal account for those "gotta have" purchases. Why? It's quick, easy, fast and convenient. Also, my item usually is shipped right after my payment (if I get an awesome seller).
As a seller, I receive a large percentage of PayPal users. I also offer BillPoint, but rarely do I have customers use that. Don't forget accepting money orders, personal checks. Those are great too (no fees for the seller - YES!!).
