who wanted to see these pictures of what may be a cigarette holder? It seems my day or two has turned into a month or two.

I probably won't get it right the first time...never can remember how to post pics on here.

The mark looks like an "M" with a torch in the middle.

Hello GC2,

Precede the URL with [*img] and follow it with [*/img] but don't include the asterisks...

You should probably resize the pics as they don't reveal much detail...

Thanks, Codasauras....I need to write myself a note and tape it to the puter, I guess.

About that resizing....these are the thumbnails from my AW list...I would resize them by.....

Gc2,

You could simply provide the URL to the non thumb nail versions of the pics here...

Instead of enclosing the pic URL in [*img] and [*/img] enclose them in [*url] and [*/url]

Well Hi there, I've been at the real job all day, sorry. That is a very pretty piece and does look like a cigarette holder. Are you going to list it? How tall is it? I would definitely been interested if it doesn't go too high.

Thanks for putting it on here.

Rachel, it is about 4-1/4" tall overall. It has some air bubbles, and what may be straw marks (don't really think they are scratches, but could be).

I probably won't list it until I can identify it. Any ideas?

Thanks!

This may sound silly, but could it possible be a match holder? I have seen something like it before but senior moments have overtaken my brain again today.

I am sure others will help to identify it though.

Ahhh....I just came from eBay.

There is a closed one identical to this in amber that went for over 15.00. Only says that it has an "M" mark. The pic of the mark may be a little better than mine, but still doesn't show the torch in the middle.

There is a current auction for one like this in green...up to 23.00. (Just calls it 'Depression Glass'.)

Surely someone knows what this mark is.

Must be something as Heisey glass cigarette holders aren't even getting a 10.00 bid.

gc2, Don't you think yours is depression also? I like the blue better than the green and blue sells better I think.

I have lived here in Heisey home country all my life and that particular pattern goes for nothing at auctions.

I can't find anything in the books I have about the mark with a torch. I will keep checking though.

I work with a couple of glass "experts", I'll ask them tomorrow.
