Need some input & discussion on the best way to handle please...If someone that bid on your auction but lost contacts you either when your auction ends or a couple of days after your auction ends wanting to know if you have another of the item they can purchase is there a problem with (eBay) if we do and sell it to them? (They are contacting us, we are not contacting them.) Also, we don't know if would be right to sell it to them at their bid amount (this does not seem right or fair to the high bidder in our minds..) We have recently been getting quite a bit of this all of a sudden and not sure how to handle. Suggestions and discussion on this subject would be appreciated?

One thing I have done that makes everybody happy on something like that, if I have another one, is to tell them "ok, I will list it and put on the agreed upon price under "buy it now" and then they can go in and make the purchase.
If they aren't willing to do that, then I would suspect some underlying motive.

It hasn't happened lately, but what I used to do was tell them that I would sell it to them only at the bid amount it went for, I felt this was the only fair thing to do to the high bidder.
If they didn't like that I would tell them I was planning on relisting it in a few weeks or so.
Don't know what I would do now, maybe relist it with a BIN at the price it went for.

I think ebay cant rule or govern what you do beyond there server they got there fees for the Item you listed and sold.

I list an item about once a month that always goes for about 110-125.00. I will always have one person email with this request. I sell it for 130.00 plus shipping. They never hesitate. I have sold 4 this way so far. We're both happy in the end.
