I put up an auction that ended on 12/17/2000. I have in my auctions that payment is due within 14 days of the end.
I e-mailed the buyer on the same day with all the payment info. He e-mailed on 12/19/2000 and said that a check would be sent out that week.
On 12/30/2000, I still hadn't received his payment. The same day, I e-mailed him this:

Hi,
Just checking to see if payment for this movie had been mailed out. If it already has been mailed, sorry for bothering you! The mail could be slow because of the holiday season. If it hasn't been mailed, I had a 14 day time limit for payment in my auction, but I would be willing to wait a few more days if you forgot )
Thanks,
xxxxxx

I am soo sorry for the delay - what with the holidaze and me moving into a
new apartment and getting laid off 4 days before Christmas and people coming
in from three states for New Year's and all. Happy New Year, by the
way! I'll dig out my checkbook and send it out this week - this time, I
swear!
Peace,

I figured he forgot, and took him at his word. Yesterday, 7 days later, ample time to send have sent out a check, I still didn't have his payment. So I sent him this:

Hi,
It's been 23 days since the end of the auction, and I was just e-mailing to check if the above payment had been sent out. Happy New Year to you to!
Thanks,

He hasn't answered, and I still don't have the payment, of course. It has now been 24 days since the end of the auction. How much longer should I wait to get payment? Or should I go ahead and get my FVF back?
If I don't get payment, I will leave a negative. I have been scared to in the past, because I have 73 positive feedbacks and no negatives. But I want to warn people that they might night get paid by this buyer, even though he does have 32 positives and no negatives.

That is an awful long time!
If you decide on the NEG, may I suggest you be sure to file a NPB Report first; it does 2 things: First, it lines you up to file for a FVF credit, which you will not get unless you file a Non Paying Bidder report and wait 10 days after that to file for Final Value Gee Credit; secondly, each of these NPB reports followed by a NEG gets the person closer to being NARU'd.
If you DO get the check, don't forget to note the new address... Gosh Shosh!
