Sorry if this is kinda off-topic... but I need to know before I bid so I guess it reall ISN'T off topic.
Does anyone know the average size difference between men's and women's shoes? Specifically I'm looking at Converse canvas tennies, most are listed in men's sizes and I need a women's 10, but have no idea what to buy in men's that will fit and none of the sellers seem to know either. Thanks!

I wear a 10 and I usually wear an 8 in men's. I also wear a UK 8 (doc martens sizes). A 7 could work if you have a narrow foot, perhaps....I would err on the side of caution and take the 8 over the 7....

Thanks y'all. The shoe in particular was an 8.5 men's. I found some size conversions online that indicated it was a 1.5 size difference between men's and women's and that men's were wider (which is good for me)...so I don't know, I'm still kinda confused, but I didn't bid much and if they don't fit (assuming I win), no biggie.
Brighid; so you have no problems with the Docs fitting? I have tried and tried but since Docs don't come in half sizes, they always hurt my feet.. which is odd because I dont' wear a half-size normally (I'm a 10, kinda wide). I always figured I needed a UK 8.5 in Docs and they only come in 8 or 9 and neither one works for me, much to my chagrin. I'd love a pair to "live in"!!
