I'm just wondering what other folks think of leaving multiple feedback when multiple items are bought at "roughly" the same time. For instance I just bought four magazines from one seller that all closed the same day and of course were all shipped together. She left me positive feedback for each item, so I of course felt obligated to leave positive feedback for each item, but I personally find it to be silly and a waste of time. After all, it doesn't improve your overall rating, even though it does show in total positives.

Hi, I always try to leave feedback for each item, and especially if I buy again from that seller. As a buyer I do look for repeat business as it shows on-going confidence in that seller. As a seller, I try to do the same. I always look at feedback when I shop, and I usually look at feedback on my bidders before closing of auction when I can to prepare for potential problems.

Jay ~ That raises an interesting point ... I wouldn't even find it a pain leaving feedback for "repeat" business ... so there are different situations. Mostly I deal with multiple items in basically one transaction, so all the feedbacks are back-to-back, and really don't show a pattern in themselves.

As a seller, I always leave feedback for each item bought by same bidder. As you say, It DOES show in the over-all feedback rating. Had a brand new bidder win two items, and he was totally thrilled to get 2 feedback, even tho only one counted as Unique. I also combined shipping, which made him ever happier

I bid from the same guy all the time and every transaction he leaves me a positive. And of course if I wasn't happy with him, I wouldn't go back. Anyhow, he gets pos feedback from me as well. In one instance I bid on 3 items of his and won. Sent all 3 in one box. Feedback was something along the lines of "fast payment on multiple items."

I just leave one feedback per transaction whether that transaction was for 1 item or 10.

Winning 10 auctions in one day and getting 10 feedbacks doesn't make the buyer a repeat customer. He's only a repeat customer after the first transaction is over and he decides to bid in your auctions again.

I personally do not feel it has to do with being "a repeat customer"...Only a "multiple bidder" customer; and each item counts as ONE, therefore, gets ONE feedback.

Well, maybe not, but it doesn't cost me anything (except maybe about 5 seconds per item) to leave a comment for each auction, and I haven't had any of these bidders complain yet when I've done so. And if it encourages them to become repeat bidders (and, I hope, on multiple items once again), then the effort was worth it.

*LOL* I have several reasons I ALWAYS leave multiple feedbacks for my customers.
1. I like to
2. I feel that if they took the time to buy more than 1 item from me, it's my pleasure to say so more than once.
3. I use the feedback forum, and if I didn't do it, I'd have way too many for 90 days tagging along in there. Although,I left multiple feedback even before the forum.
4. I like seeing my feedback number 100+ more than my "unique" total.

*L* I just got done a week or so ago, giving one gal 16 positives. I had to wait on the last 2 though, I ran out of witty ideas for her feedback. That doesn't even count the 2 items I bought for her special that she paid me for, since I could get them, and she couldn't.

This past Christmas season I saw I had multiple bis from the same buyer ending on two different dates. I emailed the buyer, thanked him for bidding and told him I would be very happy to combine shipping if he was the winning bidder on both items. he emailed me backed and thanked me very much. He wound up buying 5 items from me, this transaction took about 11 days. I sent him individual feedback. His to me was "thanks for combined shipping all 5 items great exactly as described." I think that was teriffic feedback. If someone goes in to check feedback I think they will be pleased reading a positive like that.

I leave feedback for each item.

I never used to, thinking like many do, that only the total next to the ID was important.

But through reading these threads, I found how many bidders look at "repeat purchases" from a seller. THey do this by looking at the summary a lot, not necessarily the individual feedbacks.

Since I have started leaving feedback for every item, my repeats have gone way up too.

It's a case where a little effort is a lot of gain.

OK, the one bidder that won 13 auctions in one night took a little creativity, how many ways can you say "Thanks again! "

I always leave feedback for each item bought, I figure if they are interested in more then 1 item, and pay on time, then yes they should get more then 1 comment! I have had repeat customers that will buy from me again, and usually always buy more then 1 item. I also combine shipping, and never charge a handling fee either, just the cost of postage!

I have a buyer id but every once in a while I buy under my seller ID .. I don't like my FB as a seller buried under 6+ FB's for only one payment made!! I do leave the seller multiples .. each item deserves it's own .. was each as represented? Well packed, etc?

Likewise when I SELL I like to receive fb for each item for same reason stated above.

I always leave multiple feedbacks for others unless they request that I don't.

I often buy multiple items from the same sellers. In fact, I try to in order to save on postage. I leave feedback for each item and most of the sellers I buy from do the same for me.

I have to say that I think the whole fact that each individual sale doesn't count towrds are final rating sux!! Because there will be times when you buy at completely different times from sellers or you may get a bum bidder you need to leave negatives for but it only counts once towards their fianl rating this really blows!

Hi,
As a seller, I leave a feedback for each item the person won, on the day I mailed the item, being that way I can keep track of whom I sold what to and when I mailed out the item or items for them, if they won 1 or 21, I leave a feedback for each.

I also include the name of the item also so I can have it for records later if need be.

As a buyer I also leave feedback for each item I won, if it was 1 or 21 from the same seller.

This also helps when you go into view all feedback place on ebay to figure out whom you need to leave feedback for and whom has not paid you or whom you have not paid.

I have found that with leaving it for them clears out the ones I need to leave so I can find them faster.

But then again, this is just my own opiton.
