Hi everyone. This is my first time posting, although I have done a lot of lurking! LOL I have wanted to sell on ebay full time, but I am not sure if it is feasible. I am a single mom, so this would be my sole income. I would appreciate any imput, ideas or suggestions. Thank you.

Hi, I am not a single mom, but I am a stay at home mom with 3 little ones. I started selling in Oct.2000, I did well from Oct.-Dec. of 2000, I also want to do this full-time, so I can stay home with these munchkins. The advice that I have received is to research, research, research. Find your niche in the area that you live in. I enjoy selling kids clothing and they tell me to take several pictures, and describe as much detail as possible. The best advise is to watch, read, and learn. I did not know alot about what my computer could do when I first started selling, and I have learned alot about what my keyboard can do for me when I am listing. And no matter what DO NOT GIVE UP. I have has sets of listings where I did not sell 10% of the total number of listings, and the next set I can sell 90%. I have even had items that have really been listed 3-4 times before it finally sold. Like my husband says,"you can not sell everything" well my response to that is "yes you can, you just have to list it when the right buyer is looking". It can be a up and down market place, some people do better than others, I think we have all had our good days and bad days on ebay. But all in all to be able to stay at home with my children is worth the work to make a go of selling on ebay. Good Luck!!

Julie, the other day I started a thread asking a similar question, if people do it part time/full time or occasionally.

Thanks motive, I will check it out, and thanks for your reply, I too want to stay home with the munchkins, and what a better way to do it! Play all day and list all niht.
