I make a living selling on ebay. I haven't used this site for more than 6 months under a different account. WHY AM I GETTING SPAM EMAIL?!!!
This is the FOURTH email in 2 weeks I've gotten entitled "Attention All auctionwatch.com users".
Auctionwatch - stop this immediately or I will submit you to the spam police.

Are you sure it's from them? I've been here and on eBay all along, and I've never gotten one of these messages.

kathy,
I don't get them for every single item I post (I have around 20 active right now). It's probably a third party spammer, but they are using AW's name for some reason.
(Very annoying!)

Well I'd be willing to bet a lot that it's not from AuctionWatch. These spammers are idiots, and because they assume we are as stupid as they are, we are more likely to fall for a gimmick that uses the AuctionWatch name. It's not that hard to harvest email addresses.

PIP--I have received that exact spam, but the spammers have addressed me as "special offer for all ***ISP users". I have reported it to my ISP spam police and they say they have been trying to get to the bottom of it, and said that lots of legitimate services are being hit in this way. It's not Auction Watch!

The email you posted is almost identical to other emails I have received addressed to "All eBay users". I would suggest you examine the "header" of the email to try and determine the originating IP...

Here's what to do:
Forward the SPAM to [email protected] and ask them to delete that user's account.
They bought or scavenged the addresses and are spamming them without the knowledge or consent of AW and are violating Swedish privacy and anti-spam laws!

I keep forwarding that email to abuse@(WHATEVER).COM and I keep getting it from different sender and reply addresses. Maybe if I start sending a bill to fortunecity for proofreading services?

I've been getting this spam for the last week saying: "Attention all email.com users"....
It's the same thing, they're only segregating their lists to spam a certain domain at a time now to make it more "personal".

Boy, that is irritating! On a Hotmail account I use all of a sudden I have been receiving
a deluge of non-stop invitations to porn sites (I hate pornography and have nothing to do with it). Even though I block the sender, someone else sends an almost same message. I don't know how they got my name and address. I must have a 10 foot list of all the addresses I've blocked even with the inbox protector on! They try to make it look like it's coming from MSN/Hotmail when I've found out it's coming from abroad (.uk). Auctionwatch wouldn't stand to gain anything by spamming you and therefore losing you as a client or potential client. It's probably someone else.
