Here's an interesting article on PayPal in today's Wall Street Journal Online.

PayPal's Popular Service Gets Some Complaints From Users

How do you make a link that can just be clicked on in here?

Here's how to do it:

[*url]copy-and-paste-the-site-address-here[*/url]

Remove the stars and that's how you make a clickable link. Basically, you are putting "url" in brackets on each side of the site address and remember the closing or end bracket needs a slash in front of the "url."

Elder kitten was complaining last night that PP froze his account because 2 transactions wouldn't go through on his CC but according to the CC account, the transactions had gone through. He understood it was probably a glitch but he said he had been trying and trying to get PP's CS to deal with the issue and they hadn't responded at all to his emails or his calls.

Shadowcat

I have an identical problem. BUT GUESS WHAT???
A bidder paid for one of my auctions using Paypal without asking me and PayPal Accepted THAT money!!
(Not so frozen when it is incoming I guess)
Dang crooks.

I just tried to close the account and that is frozen as well.

This could continue to happen unless I get to my bidders first.

According to that article, if you have a PayPal problem and want results--you need to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

When I cancelled paypal it was just before Christmas and what i did was at the beginning of Dec. I stated in capital letters in my listing "I DO NOT ACCEPT PAYPAL, YOU MAY STILL SEE THE LOGO IN MY LISTING, BUT ***I DO NOT ACCEPT PAYPAL PAYMENTS**** SO PLEASE CONTACT ME FIRST.

Buyers did ask why I cancelled, so I told them why, other then them asking nobody payed me with paypal. Then I went and cancelled paypal account, and like you said
"I sleep better at nights"

Well eBay has said themselves paypal makes up only 20% of transactions sold on ebay. I will never change from the checks and money orders. This is mail order, and I like being paid in the mail.
