This is a peeve of mind, does it bother others?
I will find an item I want to bid on and the seller will only use UPS to ship the item (we are not talking about heavy or bulky items).
I will not bid on an item when a seller says UPS shipping and do not state they will ship through USPS or if they say UPS only.
UPS is not allowed on my property anymore after running their truck into my house twice (they did pay for the damages), but I just don't want them to hit my house with their truck.
I also do not like how they just drop the packages off. I know they try to place it in a protected area, but I do not have an place for them to place packages.
I am more than willing to pay for the extra shipping cost (if their is one) for shipping an item through USPS, but I hate taking the time to ask every seller if they will ship the item through USPS before bidding, so I just don't bid.
Sellers... please list what carriers or methods you are willing to ship through. Also understand that many people do not like items shipped through UPS and are willing to pay the extra for Insured USPS shipping.
I really think sellers are losing bidders if they limit whom the will ship through or if they don't state all the carriers they are willing to use.
I would have been the top bidder on many items, only if the seller was willing to use or stated they will use USPS to ship the item if the buyer desires it.
Thanks for letting me steam... I wonder if I am the only one with this peeve?

Hi, I do not offer UPS, and really don't want to. I find the trucks annoying it seems they're always in the middle of the street somewhere(except in your neighborhood apparently). I ordered a lot of things on line over the holidays and a good portion arrived in one day via ups. Stacked in front of my door 4 feet high (you could probably see them from a helicopter). I had to put what I was carrying back in the car so I could move the boxes to get in my house. Very annoying.

I ONLY ship USPS... not a preference but no realistic choice, I live in rural "setting" and the post office is the only option for me other than driving too far.
Other sellers have their reasons for restrictions and it's their business (literally). Perhaps they sell high volume and it makes more sense to them to have UPS come and get the packages rather than dealing with the PO. My last "real" job only shipped UPS... they had a contract and it was the most reasonable way to get stuff out.
Perhaps the individual is handicapped, and UPS is the only reasonable carrier that will come to their home/business.
As you stated, you don't bid on those with UPS only... plain and simple. Why ask why?
