I have always been a paypal supporter. Never had a single problem before. But this is getting weird!
Paypal Damon, PLEASE help.
I have a paypal account I haven't been using much (quit listing for that particular screen name last winter). Someone sent a 12 dollar payment to it today, a relative paying me back for something. After I tried to move the 12 dollars to my bank account, I got an email saying that that account had been restricted. Huh? I haven't even used it lately except for this one incoming payment. I go to the Paypal site and find that it's been restricted because of "multiple credit card denials". SOMEONE tried to put a $499.00 charge through on my credit card (through PayPal) on January 14. My card has a limit of $300 (thank God!) and the card was denied. Then the same day, Jan 14, they tried it again! $499.00, denied.
NO ONE has my paypal password. NO ONE uses this home computer but me. And I did not make/attempt those charges since I already know my credit card has a 300 dollar limit!!!!
I called paypal and got some old lady who kept saying "we have internal security" Well I guess it's not good enough!! She had NOTHING to offer me except "someone must have gotten your password" Well that's not possible since I've never told it to anyone and it's not anything obvious. I told her to have the Fraud department call me back TODAY or I was calling the BBB and she said "it won't be today, they are way too busy"
It just seems that something else should happen. Shouldn't they try to track down who did this???? Am I just supposed to be glad they didn't succeed and move on??
I am changing the card number and the password, but my account is still restricted and they want me to do all kinds of bank stuff to get my 12 dollars

Have your aunt go back and CANCEL her payment. She just has to hit the cancel button and then she can send it to your good acct. I would then close that acct immediately!

I think his address is [email protected]. If you can find an old post of his, perhaps on the Partner Services board, it will have his address.
Please send me your account email address to [email protected]. Have you logged into any sites recently asking for your paypal password and id? I would recommend changing your password as a precaution.
