For those who have been getting less than the 2-3 day response time PP claims, or if you have a frozen account or other probvlem they are not responding to ...

www.bbbsilicon.org is the appropriate site, and http://63.67.52.28/gccomplaint.html is the online complaint form.

Go for it!

"Our file experience shows that X.com has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau due to a pattern of complaints alleging that accounts are being opened without the consumers consent and by third parties. The company answers all complaints by closing the accounts, reversing charges and/or restricting the accounts involved to initiate an investigation"

Wouldn't it be easier just to tell folks to go to www.bbb.org and click on file a complaint? You don't have to file at a local branch.

30 to 40 a month, what a joke. I imagine the bbb website and the news reporter will be inundated with horror stories.

It gets the complaint into the CORRECT branch faster if you do it directly at their site.

How much faster? 10 nanoseconds? It's an electronic filing for christ sakes.

uaru ...
The main BBB site complaint form feeds into their mail account or database where it will get looked at and then the person doing the sorting decides which branch to send it to. This is NOT a 10-nanosecond because of complaint volume and staffing levels.
IF the complainant knows the exact street address of PayPal, the sorting could be faster.

Complaining at the BBB site for the BBB where the company is located cuts SEVERAL DAYS off the process because it's in front of the person who needs to see it when they walk in the next day.

This is from the www.bbb.org site.

This complaint will be forwarded to the correct BBB based on the company's ZIP or Postal code

You think that takes several days? You think they are going to snail mail that report? I'll bet you a nickel it is entirely automated and electronic.

If you think it is best to look up the local branch on each filing knock yourself out. I'm a bit lazier I suppose.

Thank you, abacaxi. You took all of the work out of it, especially for those of us who are a bit lazier than uaru and don't wish to look up the zip code.

And to make it even easier, here are clickable links:

To uaru: Your choice of religeous reference as an expletive is extremely offensive. You owe an apology to your readers.

THIS WORKS. A Paypal rep just called me yesterday after I filed a complaint with the BBB on Sunday regarding the fraudulent 499 dollar charge attempted on my supposedly "secure" account. Unfortunately I wasn't home when she called, but I'll be calling her back today. GO BBB!!
