I know you aren't supposed to post peoples ID's, names, etc....
I know that when this rule is violated, the monitors delete the message and lock the thread until they have invited the person whose information they disclosed to join the board...
I have some MAJOR information that people should be aware of, concerning 1 individual, how do I make it ok for me to post this for everyone to see?

thanks!

I think you have to invite that one individual before you can post the info.

Who do I need to email at AW though, so they know I invited him?

Also, I have to wait 24 hours?

thanks!

The Community Guidelines say:

1.The persons involved are invited to register at AuctionWatch.com in order to join the discussion.

The Moderator ([email protected]) should receive a CC of the invitation email, and the invitation email should contain a link to the thread and to these Guidelines. The invitee should be urged to read and understand the Guidelines prior to posting. Notice should be stated in the thread that an invitation was issued.

2.The invitee must be given 24 hours in which to respond before discussion can proceed. If the invitee has not joined the discussion within 24 hours, the discussion will then be allowed to proceed without him/her.

3.The member initiating the conversation must have their full name, address, and phone number on record at AuctionWatch.com.

4.If the Moderator sees that a message or thread has been posted to discuss an auction or bidder/seller and has not received a cc of an invitation, the Moderator may inquire as to the invitation in the thread, concurrently send an email to the originator if possible, and request that discussion be halted until the issue is resolved.

5.If a conversation is initiated without all of the above criteria being met, and the thread or post may be deleted. The Moderator may issue a warning, or whatever disciplinary action is deemed appropriate.

edited to add: and you can always email me at yahoo.com, to put my curiosity to rest! LOL!

potvin48,

You need to send an email to the seller/buyer, inviting them to the thread.

The CGs require:

The Moderator ([email protected]) is to receive a CC of the invitation email, and it should contain a link to the thread and to these Guidelines. The invitee should be urged to read and understand the Guidelines prior to posting.

Also, you need to send your name, address and phone number in a separate email to [email protected].

As per the CG's, there will be a 24 hour lockdown. If we hear from the seller/buyer before the 24 hour period has ended you may begin discussing the auction at that time.

Thank you for observing the CG's.

Well, you could Email the info to those who provide their Email address? That keeps it private?

I sent an invitation to the user, and copied AW, and sent my personal info...
I can't wait until tomorrow, when I can expose this guy...

I hope you all read my post, and maybe that'll expedite things (Yahoo and paypal are both dragging their feet, and more and more people are being ripped off)

The FBI is involved already, this is a good one!

Stay tuned!

potvin48,

I just wanted to clarify for you... when the time is up for you to divulge the User I.D., that is all you can do. No naming of names.
You can link to an auction of course, but no names.

Thanks!
