Does anyone here use Netscape Webmail as their primary ebay e-mail address? I've been using them for quite a while but this week they decided to "Upgrade" their service and the new Webmail is really awful. They no longer give you an option to set Junk Mail filters. I had around a hundred spammers in my Junk Mail filter list. I've gotten three Spam messages today from people that were on my list. They took away the Print button on the site so now if I want to print an e-mail I have use the File-Print page option and end up printing the whole screen when all I want is the actual e-mail. Now for the real kicker I have a winning bidder of one of my auctions that is sending me e-mails with an attachment that contains the KAK Worm Virus in an attachment titled A Special Prayer. Anyone seen this one yet? So far I have been able to avoid infecting my computer with this but she may not even be e-mailing me when I get the e-mail as there are about a dozen e-mail addresses listed on the e-mail of which I am only one. Anytime she writes one of these people I get the e-mail. She's a fairly new seller on ebay and some of the people receiving this virus attachment are her winning bidders. I can't add her to a Junk Mail filter as Netscape in their wisdom took this feature away! I can't write her to tell her she's sending the virus as I've tried to do so three times tonight and Netscape Webmail will not send the letter as it says my connection is timed out. Netscape Webmail has never been as buggy as it is since the upgrade!
My question to everyone is; Does anyone else use Netscape Webamail and if so are you having any of the problems I'm having? Does anyone know of a dependable free e-mail program besides Hotmail that I can sign up with that would allow the Junk Mail filters and Print Option? I don't want to use my ISP provided e-mail address for ebay. It's strictly used for family and friends and in case anyone doubts that the majority of SPAM you receive is not through your address being harvested on ebay, I receive absolutely zero SPAM on my ISP address and several a day on my ebay addy. My ebay user name is not my e-mail address either. Lastly anyone here that uses SpamCop, do you worry that it may keep you from receiving your ebay customer's e-mail? Or does it work that way, like a filter? Any feedback will certainly be appreciated. Thanks everyone.

I use Netscape as my email address for eBay. I too have been having a lot of problems accessing it lately. It's reached the point where I have been considered changing email servers as well. Unfortunately, I don't have any advice to you as to another site. In the meantime, I'm just hoping that things will improve at Netscape...

Thanks for your response, Ptimko. I guess if we are patient they will work it out. It's very frustrating though. Netscape does have a phone number you can call for assistance but there's a charge of $29.00 per call! I can't imagine many people call though.

Spamcop has a filter, but it sure isn't required that you use it for your eBay mail.

I use Spamcop extensively, but do not filter much of my incoming mail, it all depends on what address you give out, as to what gets filtered.

This is all answered in the FAQ's .. I'd suggest you spend some time reading Spamcops' FAQ's and become aware of how you can use it to trim spam to near zero, and yet be assured of receiving all you'd like.

I quit using Netscape Webmail. It was a pain. It was always down or had some stupid message coming up. I changed to Hotmail and haven't had any problems yet.
