I'm sure you'll be as shocked as I was...
I bought a block of art paper on eBay last September, and never received it. It looks like the business that was running the auctions went belly-up.
I filed for reimbursement from PayPal in early October, jumping through whatever hoops they wanted. I basically didn't hear from them again until about 2 weeks ago. They wanted some proof of ID and a "cross my heart and hope to die" promise that I was telling the truth. And today I got an email saying that my money is back in my account. I checked my account and LO, and BEHOLD! There it is! The total price was only $26 and change, but STILL! It's nice to have that little bit of extra cash back.
I know I run the risk of getting my head bitten off for saying something nice about PayPal, but I just thought someone out there might want to know that there IS some truth to that Buyer Protection blah-blah that PayPal promises. (Even if it does take 4 months.)
Thank you for the kind words. Just to be sure, the program changed November 10,2000 and I would would encourage all users to review the terms relative to Buyer/Seller Protection on the site. It is pretty clear as to what steps are needed and what is/isn't protected.
