Hey ToyRanch - were you invited to "teach"? I am really curious to find out how much they pay their User Instructors. If anyone wants to email me with the info they are welcome to - anonimity guaranteed -Rosalinda

Yes, I believe the 'teachers' are employees. I have no idea what they get paid. I'll definitely write up something on the whole thing. I'm mostly very curious about WHAT they are teaching, WHO is teaching it, and etc. etc. etc.

And I know of at least one powerseller who was invited to teach. Haven't been able to get the payment info yet -Rosalinda

Though I live close by, I don't think I'd bother to go even if the "classes" were FREE. It looks to me like propoganda sessions to push Billpoint, Mail Boxes Etc., UPS, E-Stamp, Blackthorne software, Square Trade, i-Escrow, ID Verify, and everything else eBay is selling....and you either have to fight downtown traffic and pay for parking or ride the bus. You can go and come here to tell us what revelations they share.
Now, if you want to meet to discuss OTHER PLACES to sell beside ebay (or forming a seller-owned auction site), count me in. For THAT I'm raring to go!!!!!

We went to the one in L.A. several months ago. It was interesting, but I didn't learn much. A couple of interesting and different perspectives. They definitely weren't propoganda sessions. All in all it was worthwhile.
The instructors were eBay employees, most who have been with eBay since the early days.
