Its interesting to see where all the yahoo auction listings are going. They've lost around 1.5 million listing or so. Some have just disappeared, others seem to have ended up in ebay and bidville.
The "fast" growth in bidville is likely to slow down now that most of the auctions that were going to leave yahoo have done so.
Of course, all the stuff that came to bidville from yahoo will no doubt leave again when bidville institutes fees. Its like watching migrant farm workers, following the harvest...

without buyers -- other auctions will fold as well.
In order to mount a campaign against eBay (which I don't think will happen) - a new rival will need to spend large $ on traditional advertising to create awareness.
