I had a deadbeat bidder. I relisted the item and she sniped at last minute.
I was able to leave 2 negatives and my 2 NPB added to her others for a NARU.

victoria, always leave your neg first, then FVF. That way you can be sure to get their deseverved feedback in.
I sure wish eBay would change that, not being able to leave a neg when someone is NARU.

I recently got a seller NARU'd for shilling...some dumb college kid selling videos/DVDs..left 10 shill bids from his "roommate"...He went NARU, and eBay let me off the hook for payment of course.
Much to my surprise, 45 days later this guy was reinstated, and I was still able to leave feedback!! NEG fest!!!
I negged with "SHILLER was suspended by eBay for bidding on own auctions!"
His response.."nonsense.Bidder Won auction and never paid"
My response.."eBAy negated auction..no need to pay!"
Saw at least 2 bid retractions because of feedback.....AAAAaaaahhhhhhh.......
I was waiting for the neg to come back, but it never did! (thankfully, this was all done on my "Buying" account so I don't have to worry too much about the feedback anyhow!
That Neg feedback is still at the top of his pile, and will stay for awhile because he has only closed 2 auctions in the last month!
Congrats on a job well done!!! You have helped ALL of us sellers by leaving the appropriate FB!!!

I think all sellers should have buying account just incase a crazy thing like that happens. I know I just opened a buying account. I want to protect my selling image.

There have been three or four times when I filed for FVF credit, that I apparently was seller #3, causing the buyers to be suspended.
What's frustrating to me is later receiving an angry e-mail from the bidder, blaming *ME* because he/she was NARU'ed. Apparently the two other warnings against their account didn't "count" ... they get upset about the one that just happened to get them suspended.

I just received a nasty email from a deadbeat bidder for an auction that ended in early November. She was upset that I didn't give her enough time (three months!) to respond.
I left a negative after 4 emails, a nonpaying bidder warning and 30 days.
She is upset that her permanant record is damaged, like it's my fault.
My advice to deadbeat bidders who don't want negatives and NARU--all you have to do is PAY!

A bidder won 2 of my auctions (out of the first dozen I ever listed), no problem with email, he says he has sent payment. Then he won 2 more auctions a week later.
A month and a half later I went and filed for the FVF refund on all 4 auctions. Then I went to neg him and couldn't because I had caused him to be NARUed. A week later his payment for the first auctions showed up on the mail. The postmark was the day after he was NARUed. I sent it back with a note that he should have paid it when he first said he had.

If Ebay changed the rule about leaving feedback to or by NARU users, it would leave the door wide open for even more retalitory feedback.
Yes, I got a non-paying bidder NARU for having false contact info and another one for filing the 3rd or 4th FVF.

I have gotten this done to both a buyers and 1 seller. I always file for my credit when I don't recevie payment, and alert ebay when I am unable to contact a buyer due to wrong email address and wrong phone number. Occasionally ebay will surprise you with their responsiveness! By the way, the secret to leaving negative feedback without getting slammed in return is to leave feedback and then immmediately request the final value fee. The item then disappears from the feedback wheb the credit to requested! I've not received any retaliatory yet!

I had a guy work for me a bunch of years ago who used to look at pictures of guns and "play with himself".
Kinda reminds of people who get their jollys having someone NARU'd

Last year, we had this guy tell us he sent payment, and it didn't show up, and didn't show up. I checked his feedback, and he had like seven or eight recent negs. So, I emailed ebay to point this out, and they naru'd him fast. A few days later, the check showed up with a postmark shortly after the auction ended. His check really had gotten lost in the mail. Oops. We sent it back to him, and later sold the quilt for much more.

I can't see the similarity between perverse fantasizing with violence and feeling like a responsible citizen.
Why is it "twisted" to help out your community by reporting the bad guys?

It's difficult for me to put into typed words. Suffice it to say that I believe reporting an illegal auction (i.e. a criminal activity) is something a responsible citizen would do. Posting a neg, getting an eBay member NARU'd, then bragging about it is not something I would associate with being a good citizen ...

I didn't take libby's post as bragging about what she did to someone, rather that she was proud to do something for someone ~ specifically for the other citizens of the eBay community (buyers & sellers).
Have I misunderstood the intention of this thread? IMHO, it takes guts to leave appropriate feedback knowing that eBay does nothing to control unwarranted retaliation. Those of us who take "the plunge" with honest feedback and NPB's need to stroke ourselves and each other to get through the anxiety being dishonestly trashed in our feedback profile.

I was not bragging.
I was not the one who did wrong. The person NARU'd obviously was NARU for a reason. It was either my negative or FVF that would do it or the next person that came along.
I did what eBay suggests you do. I left feedback based on the way a transaction went. Their system did the rest. It had never happend to me before.
Take it as you wish RB. I really don't care how you see it.

Wouldn't it be nice to get a "star" for helping out the other buyers and sellers? just like feedback forum ~ or maybe make it part of the power sellers program ~ hmmm...
IMHO, it feels good to take the risk and do the right thing when you see the results (in this case, NARU). It's also nice to be reminded that the system does work!
