Yes it's available at a cost of $1.75. Good luck finding people at the post ofc that are familiar with it! You have to ship either priority or parcel post and the main benefit over the standard DC is that you can request a copy of the sig from usps.

I can understand wanting to purchase signature confirmation on some things, but I don't think it is a good idea without letting your buyer know you are doing it, and getting their feedback on it. In many cases, if you are going to send it that way, the buyer will need it sent to their workplace so they CAN sign. And sometimes that is not an option.
I would not like it if a package came to me needing a sig. unless I'd been notified in advance.
