I had a bidder do a buy it now price on a item of mine, in the amount of 50.00, but turns out this bidder previously bought the same item from me at another auction site, didnt realize it was the same item. She didnt realize it was the same seller. I dont mind putting it back in ebays again, as she is a very nice bidder, BUT I do want my FVF credit back. Is there anyway you can get the full FVF back without claiming this person is a deadbeat? I dont want to file a NPA when me and the bidder both agreed the sale didnt happen, but I dont see any other forms on ebays. And I dont want to lose FVF. Any advice would help. thanks!

First, have her try to retract her bid. Sometimes, that will cancel the BIN and put the auction to it's original form.

Second, if that does not work, file for the NPB alert, but choose the option that you both decided not to complete the transaction. You'll get your final fee back right away, and she won't have a black mark on her record. She WILL get a letter from Ebay to confirm that she is not purchasing the item, but it will not count against her.

You'll still be out the listing fee, though. No way to get that back.

I'd have her give it a try. Can't hurt, anyway!!

Don't see how one could retract on a "buy it now" because that ends the auction. And after the auction has ended there's never an option to retract.

As far as I know, you can get FVF without giving the buyer a deadbeat ding. I think you do have to do the NPB alert, but when the 10 days have passed there is a drop down box with different reasons. One of them is that you mutually decided not to complete the sale.

Or you could write to ebay and explain it to them and request a refund.
