I signed up with Billpoint a couple of months ago, thinking I might or might not like it, but worth a try. Well, it was probably the best thing I've done since dumping paypal. I still accept Paypal, but only for high price items when the buyer insists on it. But other than that, it's Billpoint all the way for me. It's so much easier to use without the hassles of Paypal and their unscrupulous way they're running their business. Even though I don't want to give more money to eBay, I feel that this is one service I will congradulate them for.

I just noticed that Billpoint now puts a seperate note and link to all new TOS changes and promotional changes on the first page you see after you logon.
I found that very refreshingly ethical after dealing with PayPal's TOS of the day, and constant challenges to the literate among us.

I've been thinking about adding BillPoint to my payment options recently, and wanted to know if you need a credit card to receive payments from them. (I don't have one)

About Billpoint, I used to take them and still will if a buyer insists. There were a couple of things I didn't like about them.
The fees are higher, for instance, on a 10.00 item you pay .35. Ok, not too bad compaired to PP. But THEN they tack on another .5% deposit fee. ($.50 on a $10 transaction). That's .85 for ten bucks!
The other thing was the auto sweep into my bank account. It just messed me up bad! I got 20 payments over 3 days around Christmas time, the bank lumped deposits together that were made on the same day. BP listed them separately.

Yep, you're right... I don't not due math so guud. That's why I can't deal with BP... Too confusing!
That is still a dime higher than the .30 for PP.

Hi kateartist,
Just as an FYI... our login page also has a link to Policy Changes after a user goes into their account and it also shows the date the last time the page was modified. well. This has been in place for several months now (thanks to some feedback) and we are also working on some ways to improve our communication on changes based on what the user presents at the time of sign-up.
