There is a post in my AW listing just below the Secret #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 #6 #7 #8 thread which has no title, and no author, and which just says "locked", with 5 posts in it and the last post done on 02-15-2001 at 9:40 pm

I cannot click on it... why won't it open?

Is it a ghost WOMD thread?

Mivona, believe me, you don't want to know what's in that thread.

Oh, the horror... the horror....

But... but... you know what a "buttinski" I am... I want to know...

It is like a locked drawer.... drives me bloody crazy!

It was like that last night too, only it wasn't locked yet. The thread had replies but I couldn't find anywhere to click onto it to open it and read it.

Don't know if I should do this or not, but the quickest way I found to see the thread is as follows:

- Goto the page (list of threads) with the locked thread
- View the source for the page (view/source)
- search for the word "locked" in the source (search/find)
- just before the word "locked" is the thread number
- copy this number
- go into another thread and paste the copied number of the thread over the thread number in the address bar
- hit enter

This works for IE, don't know if other browsers have the features necessary.

Hi everyone,
It's some weird technical glitch that appears somewhere in the Message Center periodically. It's not a WOMD thread gone wrong - a "ghost" thread would be more accurate

No idea why it happens but there's nothing there to see - just a couple of folks who snuck in and bounced around in there before Joice locked it.

Thank you Greg and Michelle, for putting my curiosity to rest. I can go to sleep now, happy....
