I've got a real interesting situation on my hands. My auction for a widget closed jan 14, and the bidder never paid. She "has serious health problems and this was not a priority." These same health problems have not stopped her from selling (?) I won an auction for a fidget, and dumb me, it is her. I would love to add a note to my payment, but I won't. Should I send my payment? I think I will wait until I recieve my fidget to file a NPB. Her ratings are excellent, and, in reveiwing them, she has no negs, and has been selling over the past month.

I think her problem is I don't take PAYPAL. She set me a paypal payment, and when I told her I didnt have an account, she told me about her serious health problems and that there was no way she would be able to pay by Feb. 14th.

Any bright ideas or input from you guys?

thanks,,,,cindy

Since she has no negative feedback remarks, maybe she is telling the truth? Offer to extend the deadline for payment by 1 week. I do agree that you should wait for your item before filing an NPB... just to be safe.

Cindy,

Is the item you won from her more or less expensive than the item she bought from you? If it is more expensive, you could ask her if it would be alright for you to send the difference in a package with the item you owe her. If it is less expensive, you could ask her to send you the item you won and the difference. It could actually work out and save you both some postage costs! Good luck!

wait the amount of time you usually do, i think the 30 days you have waited is 15 too long, and then file a npb and then neg.....its time for her to come correct!

I would believe her, if she wasn't SELLING DURING THE TIME from when my auction closed until she sent me the note. How were those packages getting to the post office? Why couldn't she get a postal MO then? Or, for that matter, send cash. I have people who do that. (Not that it's smart).

That's my beef. If all her auction activity had stopped, then I would beleive her. but, it didn't.

Hello, I am new here, but I wanted to add to this. I am disabled and started selling on ebay a few weeks ago, I also have bad health all the time, I use PayPal and do most of my listings and business right from my bedroom, either in an arm chair or my bed, so that could be why she can still have her auctions but may be why she can,t get out to send the money. I have a son and husband who help me as far as running around and sending packages, maybe she doesn't have anyone who can do this for her at a given moment. I do. If I didn,t have them i wouldn,t be able to do all the footwork. So if her health is the issue here maybe she has to wait till someone can go to the mailbox or postoffice to send your money. Just a thought, I could be wrong. But with all the good feedback she has , makes me wonder. Thanks, puffalump

P.S. I would speak with her again and maybe find out if she is having these sort of problems for some reason more than any other time.

Come on! If she really has the health problems it surely hasn't stoped her from selling items, and if she can ship those packages off she shouldn't have a problem mailing off a MO. She's probably just mad that you refused her paypal.

And 30 days is plenty of time, even if she is disabled. I would have already filed a NPB form and give her the 10 days to get her payment to you. After that i would NEG her!

My point was how she could still be selling,if she is disabled or ill right now. Some times my health is bad enough to keep me bedridden, maybe she is in a health slump, you never know, but I can still press a key and type and list, find out before you NEG someone. Like I said I have people here to help me , maybe this person doesn't have someone at the drop of a hat, maybe she does, who knows, her feedback is good, no NEGS. Obviously there is something wrong.

I think eauction's suggestion is an excellent one! If the item you bought from her is the more expensive one, send her the item she won from you + the money you owe her after you subtract from that total the money she owes you. Or, have her send you your item with the amount she owes you enclosed.

As to why she is listing but can't seem to pay you, maybe she uses stamps by mail or estamps and the mail carrier or UPS picks up her packages. Maybe she orders stamps on the internet using her CC and receives her stamps in the mail. Maybe someone runs errands and mails for her but not daily. I can think of all sorts of scenarios, but if her fb is good, there is probably a logical explanation.

Maybe she is Sooooo weak and bedridden all she can do is hit a keyboard key, but if she is still selling then someone is packing and shipping for her, unless her mailman comes in and does it for her.

That same person that is so graciously helping her pack can surely get a MO while they are at the PO.

I think she is pulling your leg. No negs. Maybe she is a much better seller than buyer.

Yes, I think she is not paying because you don't take paypal. People that paypal payments to me I have a DEVIL of a time getting them to pay, even though I have my own secured server.

Having said that, I do not think you should neg her at this moment. Not with a transaction of your own pending. I do not think you should send money though, since you have not gotten your payment. The poster that said to work out a trade has a good idea. Of course though, you can still send your item to her and get nothing in return.

Good luck!

~Not barrelracer on ebay, don't pick on them!~
