Some people put their terms on that page. I don't. I think it serves little purpose actually, but sometimes I will look at one to get more of a feel about the person. I just might get curious.

I hardly ever look at a person's ME page. Putting your terms there would be ok, but I wouldn't depend on your bidders reading them.
I have a very short ME page, I don't put my terms there.

As a buyer I would not bid on any auction that had its terms or TOS on a separate page. It's too easy to change after the auction ends. I suggest keeping your TOS on the auction page and using the about ME page for personal stuff or other current auctions.

I think it helps to have a "ME" page.
The more a potential customer is able to know about you or your company, the more likely they will feel comfortable about doing business with you. By providing a few details about yourself, your hobbies, your terms and your business, the bettle you are able to create a "Warm and Fuzzy" feeling for your buyers.
I've had over 10,000 hits to my "ME" page, so people do look in an effort to find additional information about sellers.
In addition, I suspect most crooks and get rich quick artists do not take the time to fill out this section of their eBay account.

I sometimes read them. I usually do if the auction itself is interesting and/or funny. But mostly it is one of the steps I use before bidding. Just like reading feedback, I believe it gives me some small insight into the seller's temperament and tendencies. I like to see a friendly page that isn't ALL just about the seller, the seller's cat, the seller's sinus problems, and nothing about the auctions. I have a brief "me" page. As a seller, I don't list TOS there since as a buyer I want to see that stuff up front on the auction... I figure if I have to go to the ME page TOS must be too long to bother with. I don't list many auctions (need to get some going tonight!!) and this is just my way. I recommend using the ME page, but as for your auctions, you and your ME page should be carefully thought out and relevant.

I average 200 hits per month, on approx 100 items listed per month. Not a very big # considering the # of auctions, but if it helps even one bidder feel more confident in who they're dealing with, then to me it's worth it.
I have info on my shipping methods, most of it being for International bidders, as well as pics of some of the higher $ merchandise I've sold on eBay in the past.
I like to let potential bidders know that I've sold numerous higher end items, I know my merchandise, and that I know how to safely pack very expensive & very fragile items.
