I got a letter from PayPal:
"Thank you for referring PayPal to xxxxx xxxx ([email protected]).
To show our appreciation, we have credited $5 to your PayPal account."
This is the first time I have got a referal this year! Has anyone else had any referals?
I was wondering if I was in a dream!

I use to get hundreds but not anymore. Ever since (Damn these blinking banners) they made it so you have to register your bank account, sign up for a money market account, give out your SS#, deposit $100 when you first sign up, I don't get anymore!

Once they did the verification routine, my referrals dropped off to nothing. I only recently learned of the money market routine. I no longer use their logo

I don't think I've gotten one in 6 months. I used to get at least 2-3 per month, and I don't do a large volume. I guess Pocono got them all LOL!!

I don't get them anymore either. It alienates people to push them into giving out their whole life to paypal and I won't do it. Before it was great. They just sign up and you get the referral. Now it's not a viable option for me.

I made it all before BEFORE the ridiculous new requirements.
I have made exactly $0.00 since they implimented THAT bull!
But, I have since implimented my "do not refer paypal" policy as well

I was wondering how in the hell you made $700! I think that new deal started in October. If you look at your paypal account I am sure you will see possibly hundreds of referals that say "Pending" and after a period of time, they are cleared off and you don't get squat. I have had more bidders happy with BillPoint anyway.

We made several thousands of dollars off the Paypal referral program. We started early back when they were giving $10.00 for a straight forward referral sign up. It was then dropped down to $5.00 on a straight forward sign up and was then changed to the hoop jumping contest it is now. We now have page after page of "pending" referral names, none of which will ever jump high enough to qualify for the bonus.
Ah, how I miss the good old days.... eBay share spits up to almost $300.00, 95% of our auctions had bids, no deadbeats, fees were low and and bids were high. Alas, gone, but not forgotten... It will amaze my grandchildren someday....

If this is true, you must not be using AW's WBN's. Check this thread (if you haven't already). http://www.auctionwatch.com/mesg/read.html?num=15&thread=48861

It was awesome how much money you could make just getting people to sign up for paypal. It is just too hard to get people to follow all of the steps to get your $5.
I've been using Ebay since 1998!
