I am a reporter for a major daily newspaper in the SF Bay Area and I am working on a story about how eBay combats fraud and misconduct on its site. The company has an extensive user policy that outlines what types of items are and are not allowed. It also works closely with law enforcement agencies to deal with fraud, often providing law enforcement with users' names and contact information. I would like to know how eBay users feel about how the company deals with trouble on the site. Is the company too heavy-handed or not strict enough? Does it do too much or too little? Are you glad that the company is in close contact with law enforcement? Or do you see this as a violation of privacy? And who is ultimately responsible when something bad happens on the site? eBay or its users? Please email me at [email protected]

Coincidence? I just got a call from SF Chronicle a few days ago, and I don't live in SF. Anyone else get one too? They're pulling phone numbers from ebay.
