Hello. I have a question for my fellow stamps.com online postage users. Has anyone else suddenly run into delays when you purchase your postage with your credit card?
I've been a loyal customer to stamps.com for many, many months, and I absolutely needed the postage I purchased a half hour ago "on the spot". However, for the first time, there is some type of delay, with a "we'll notify you when your purchase is confirmed"
screen message. Normally, I get the postage I purchased within about 5 minutes, at the most.

Can this somehow be related to all the rumors that stamps.com's days in business are numbered? I hope not, since unfortunately I've come to rely on them and going to the post office with the quantity of items I ship is not humanly possible.

Any info on the problem would be sorely appreciated, and thanks in advance.

I've been with stamps.com for many months and never had a purchase confirmed within a few minutes. It has always taken 15 minutes to an hour before the confirmation e-mail arrives and I've always gotten the "We will notify you..." message. I just purchased postage last night and got my confirmation about 20 to 30 minutes later. Don't panic, it all sounds normal to me.

Blackjack - Yes! Whenever I wonder "Is it just me?" I always come here to see if anyone else is experiencing the same thing.

I too have always gotten the purchase instantly. Just a few times I have had to wait just a couple of minutes. I "bought" postage this afternoon about 3 hours ago and still haven't gotten an email and it isn't credited to my account.

So, it's not just you.

I do remember talking with one of the CS people at Stamps.com about something else ( I did a major "boo-boo" and they helped me fix it quickly ) and during the conversation he told me to gauge my stamps purchases to avoid high volume request times ( i.e. Friday through Sunday night. ) He said during those times there could be a lag due to the high volume of postage purchase requests being processed. I guess if I had any question, I'd give 'em a call and ask. They have always been more than helpful to me whenever I've called.

I've had these delays from time to time during the 13 months I've been with Stamps.com. I suspect it's the volume thing, too.

Sometimes the postage is credited to my account IMMEDIATELY... other times its a few minutes to up to half an hour or so.

I alwat use stamps.com from 11pm to 2 am in the morning and never have a delay if the credit dont show up on my account I close the stapms program and restart and log back in and the postage shows up I find the problem usually is the program dont up date to show your postage perchase simply relogging on to stamps.com will bring up the postage.

I get the postage I purchase instantly but sometime dont receive the comfermation letter till the next day.

Hi,

I've had very good luck with closing Stamps.com when I get that message.

I open up the program right away, sign in again, and my new postage is ALWAYS there. Try it!

Whats funny is I do the same thing! The problem is us! We never think about paying for the stamps until we are doing the damn postage! I am so guilty of that...

Stamps.com has been a great service, however, when I did make a few mistakes with postage, I have never recieved credits for them like they say you do. You have to go through all these hoops to get the money and I did that every time and have never recieved any credit back. Anyway, it was not that much money and overall they have been pretty reliable.

I've been a stamps.com user for many moons now. I have never, ever had a problem with them.

When I get down to less than $10.00 remaining, I always purchase more then. I am usually online with them between 11:00 pm and 2:00 am Eastern time.

Granted that I don't ship as much as some other sellers, but they have been very dependable for me.
