Now that eBay has changed the way to get email addresses of users. AAPro will not import the email addresses of buyers. All auction info is brought in except email. Can no longer email winners through AAPro!!!

I would have thought that since they are one in the same now, they would have the patch available and ready for this switch. Yet another great example of the brilliant minds at eBayBlackthorne.

I guess this is how they will get everyone to ante up the $16/month to use the software.
With this new system in place, how many times do you think eBay will be crashing in the next few days?

Very poor planning, yet again!

Oh one other thing. My auctions closed over an hour and a half ago and I have received ONE end of auction notice.

I guess even eBay is going to have headaches with their new system.

Oh and eBay is screening emails, wouldn't that be a perfect way to let them know about their service.
Just add your compliants in all emails that go through them.

I think you're confused. Sellers can still get their high bidders' email addresses, both manually and through AA Pro (now SA Pro).

If you have AA Pro and it isn't pulling up your seller's list, try checking for a recent apdate. Go to File:Maintenance:Program Updates. It will update the server settings for you.

Pulling up the Sellers list isn't the problem. It will update all info except the bidders user id/email address in the item info of AAPro. Thus not allowing emails to be sent to high bidders using the email function of AAPro.

I have update the links and still no go.

If you know of a way for it to grab the email info and insert it so that emails can be sent, I would appreciate knowing how to do this.

Magazine Guy ..The problem is real and updating through maintenance is not effective. Check Blackthornes discussion board and you can see the angry messages started last night and John Slocum admitted there was a problem and started working on the patch last night. Admirable but wouldn't the proper thing to do would be for Ebay and Blackthorne to have tested what would happen with the new email policy and created the patch first? And they want to charge $16 a month for it now. Pitiful. ***MRHANEY.. the patch may be ready, I am about to check, but in the meantime someone posted a quick fix that I think is working. At least I was able to get the seller's report that updated my closed auctions and get my emails out. Go to FILE, then to OPTIONS then to WEB PAGE LOCATIONS then on the line for EBAY SELLER REPORT , change the part of the URL that says ebay.com to ebay.co.uk
Just be sure to write down the correct url first so you can put it back when the patch is ready.

It seems that about a month ago, there were numerous discussions on AAPRO boards about the upcoming changeover to monthly fees. Today, when I check, I cannot find those discussions anymore on AAPRO boards. Did they got move?

Also, on ebay's MisterLister discussion board, ebay is trying to push AA as the cure all for the MisterLister problems.

Success!!

I have installed the update and the email feature now works.

I wish they would have come up with this patch earlier if they knew they were switching things around. Had to re-email all by bidders so I could update AAPro.

Not a big problem, but is this a sign of whats to come when more changes take place?

I think Blackthorne took down the message boards that are referred to above. They must have run out of room on the servers with all the complaints, LOL

Everyone,

Sorry, I'm going to lock this thread. If you're having problems with AAPro, I suggest you post on their message board or contact their tech support.
