I'm not a happy camper right now. Clicked onto an auction and found my old auction listing word for word on an item I sold a few weeks ago. The part that gets me most is the photo is of my living room. She certainly has the right to resell the item, but come on...using my personal property to enhance its appeal is a bit much. This to me is over the edge of lazy. I bust my buns to create settings for photos and write honest descriptions, for me not somebody else. Should I do anything about this or just steam here for awhile and shake it off. Thanks for letting me vent.

Report that jerk !!!!!

Also, invite them to this thread so you can post the item number and we can all see.

Romantiques ...
Is the seller using the pictures from your server, or did they copy them to another spot?

If they are on your server, you can replace them with the opicture of your choice, as long as the name is the same. I recommend a BIG full-frontal nudity shot of Newt Gingrich.

Report them! Also send them an email letting them know and tell them to stop using your auctions. I now across the middle of all my auction pics add personal identification so if they steal my pics they can't have it all, just the 1/2 above the text or below and they can't be bothered with that much editing. Check out "other auctions by" the seller, chances are they stole a lot of other people's pics and descriptions. Investigate and email the other sellers of his doings. If a small war won't stop this jerk eBay certainly won't scare him.

unfortunately, I don't believe their is any laws against doing it unless they used the url you have the photo loaded on.

there is certainly an ethical problem doing it without your permission.

something I often do is put my user name on the photos I would rather other persons not use.

Looked all morning for a photo of Newt but no luck. I did email her stating my case with all the tact I could muster but still making my point. Haven't heard back and probably won't but at least I feel better not just sitting back and taking it. Will wait a day or so for some kind of explanation then I feel I need to report it. I'm accountable for my actions, she should be too. I have a feeling the photo was possibly printed out then scanned because it's very grainy (?sp)and hazey looking and not crisp colors at all. Nonetheless, it was not the ethical thing to do. Thanks so much for the help guys.
