I'm becoming increasingly frustrated with book selling sites like Half.com and Amazon.
I went to list some current, nonfiction books
on Amazon that are very popular at the present time. These books are retail priced
at around $25.00. Both of these books are being listed by sellers as brand new at a price of $4.00-$5.00. What's even more amazing is that there's only one or two sellers offering this book. Why would a seller want to lowball the price so much when
they don't even have any competition? That's the main reason I moved from Half.com to Amazon to avoid having to list my books
for nothing. Seems like it's starting on
Amazon now. Do any of you have any idea what would motivate a seller to do this?

It could be any number of things: a "layman" who is simply trying to sell a book he bought and read. A big bookseller who wants to out-compete all comers by selling dirt-cheap. Hard to say. I would try putting the books aside and checking back in a week or two to see if the cheap copies are gone.
I list a lot on both sites and new books can usually be listed for higher than that, but I guess it all depends. If the books are desirable enough, why not list on ebay and see how you do?
