I don't usually sell items being shipped to Canada as all my auctions state I don't ship Internationally. But someone from Canada bid on one of my records and won the auction. Is is easier for them to pay by Paypal or Billpoint?

I haven't used either CC service, however, when I sell to a Canadian bidder I usually ask for a Canada Post Money Order or an American Express MO. Both of these are to be made payable in US funds as the Canadian dollar is only worth about .65 cents to the American dollar. With the Canadian Post MO, you can usually cash them at any US Post Office.

I shut down my paypal account when their (non)deal with the CC companies regarding crediting CC's with the PayPal deposits fell through. I think a lot of Canadians left then. We could collect PayPal funds; just couldn't deposit it anywhere. And we know how smart it is to keep all one's money in one's PayPal account!
At the time, CC's where the only form of deposits available to Canadians (no bank account, etc.) I don't know if that changed, but even if it did, I bet a lot of Canadians never went back (including me).
Billpoint is very Canadian friendly, so if you are willing to take Billpoint, I think that would be the way to go. I've been registered with them since they became available to Canadians and its been great. Plus I truly believe they are a safer company to deal with. I've seen very few complaints on these boards about them, whereas Paypal horror stories abound.
