I have just aquired a pair of contemporary designed bronze vases. The vases stand 18" tall and are signed CAGGIATI.
The vases are heavy and are identical on each side.
I have found out that Caggiati is based in Italy and are highly regarded for their work with the design and manufacture of bronzeworks, particularly for the monumental trade.
I can't however find any refeerence anywhere as to the value of the pieces they make. In particular I would love an opinion as to what this pair of vases may be worth.
The picture is a bit dull. They are in fact more honey coloured.
Both vases have a removable copper insert.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

What you might have (depending on size) is a pair of urns intended for cremated human remains. "Monumental" might mean "large" or it might mean burial-related items like plaques for tombstones.
FYI, the usual size for an urn for ashes is about the size of a typical sugar canister that holds 5 pounds.
I'd just list them for enough to make a small profit. Call them "Pair of Italian Modern Bronze Vases" and see what happens. Remember to give the size.
