From what I can tell, the moderators probably make about $8 an hour doing this (if that), so it's not like they're on the higher end of the economic food chain.
Everybody has some degree of power in their job, whether it's the pimply-faced teen at the fast food drive-thru (who has you under his control for a few minutes while you're waiting for your food) or an AW moderator who, for lack of a better phrase, is probably working their way through college and needs some extra cash. This is their little domain (some would say ego trip).

I blame the moderators for:
1) Locking or deleting a post without reading/understanding it (I had one yesterday that was locked, then unlocked with no explanation), and
2) Answering our posts in ways that are far beneath their usual levels of communication and courtesy.
Perhaps they have been told not to "take any $%^& off anyone"...or perhaps they are worried that their $8 an hour jobs will soon be a thing of the past? Don't know.
But I know they have me riled this morning....all because I tried to clarify a post that I found unbelievable.
Other than that, Toke, I'm with you..and Reddeer too. (Ahhhh, Reddeer, if all Canadians were like you, I'd still be selling to them!)
