Moderators: Please understand that we know you are the middlemen/women! Most of us have enough business experience to know that top bosses often put people like you on the front line to absorb the shock.

Longtime sellers are disappointed and at the same time panicked over what they perceive as a continuum--fees that will continue to climb.

Many of us are shocked and disappointed that the AuctionWatch that we've felt a deep affection for seems suddenly to have changed its personality. Many of us began our selling careers on eBay with your help, and we have appreciated AW very much. But now it's as though you are a bi-polar personality that we don't know any more.

It's as if *somebody* in a position to make decisions is being held hostage by Dilbert's boss. We are reeling from the personality change as we perceive it in an organization we have felt great fondness for.

Moderators--please understand that we are a bit frantic and probably aren't watching our words as carefully as we normally do. YOU ARE NOT THE TARGET. Your bosses are. --Adele

We know, Adele.

(We are beginning to wonder if the bullseye on the back of the Moderation team's uniform was such a good idea though......)

Michelle:

The real problem with the bulls-eye on the back of the moderators uniform is it is a nickle.

Sorry for the cheap shot..could not resist

Not sure I am quite so sympathetic to the moderators.

What I find most distasteful is that when Sellers try to have a discussion about alternatives to the AW bulk loader or their image hosting, the threads seem to be shut down with an abrupt "You can't discuss a competitor" warning from the moderators.

Guess what? If YOU provide the best service at reasonable prices, you have no need to be so sensitive about other sites that you perceive to be in competition with you. Let the open discussions take place, if you are TRULY the best deal, that will become apparent! When you squelch discussion, it appears to have something to fear or hide.

If AW wants to be viewed as a responsible clearing-house for online auction users, it isn't doing itself any favors by acting like a little kid throwing a temper tantrum.

The moderators are taking it on the chin from the public but are saying only what the owners want them to say. If I were a moderator I would get my "stuff" and go home! Ummmmmm Well maybe I wouldn't if I was expecting A pay raise in the near future do a a fat increase in AW revenue !!
