I'm hoping that collective knowledge can help me identify a vase I have and want to sell on Ebay. It is a huge green pottery piece and has several German markings on the bottom Muster Gesetzl, others and a box with the initials ML inside the box. A friend of mine has said he thinks it is Max Lauger or Max Luger. I have searched my books and the internet and can find nothing. I am thinking that I am spelling the last name wrong. Any thoughts on where else I can search or correct spelling? People on this board are always so helpful. Thank you.

Hello lmmansmm. You have a piece of pottery made by Professor Max Laeuger C.1900 for Tonwerke Kandeme. His work is very desirable and expensive. Lucky you!!! You can read his bio here:

If you use one of the search engines you will be able to see a few of his pieces and their prices.

Thank you Blanche, I appreciate you sharing your knowledge. The vase is 16" tall and beautiful, but it does show some damage. I have spent most of today taking pictures, so that when I list it everything will be accurate. Thanks again. LMM
