This is unbelievably stupid IMHO....I was looking for some items and came across a seller who had quite a few of what I was looking for....there was no pictures and I found THIS SENTENCE in his description......

" Sorry for no picture but I didn't want to waste the time or effort to post. To make it up to
you, I will guarantee this auction or refund your money including shipping."

I can understand if someone did not know how etc....but THIS , IMHO , would not entice anyone to "bother" looking very long. Too bad too...he had several things I wanted.

What is truly amazing is that someone will probably bid!

I found a seller of clothes who states in the first sentence, I don't have a camera sorry there's no picture available but I give very detailed descriptions.

She has been on eBay for 2 years and she has unbelievably high FB and NO negs! Almost all her auctions get bids! You would think she has made at least enough after all this time to buy a camera! I wonder if she has ever considered just how well she might do if she included pictures???? Then again, maybe she's afraid to jinx herself!

I just don't understand it.

I sure hear what your saying.....its unbelievable what I find in descriptions or should I say "lack of description"..While cruising tonight, I am amazed at how many high dollar items have no pictures and a lousy description with them. Before I got a digital, I used a Snappy unit...and before that I took the film to a developer so I know there is a way. I guess having a seller say that they did not want to waste the time really floored me. Oh Well, it WILL be interesting to see how many bids this person gets on this stuff....Pam

I seen this description last night.
Look pictures plus shipping.
I couldn't believe they didn't put more than that. That person didn't even put down the payment options they accepted.

What gets me is sellers trying to sell videos but give you no details of what the movie is about, who stars in it or anything.Same with music, don't tell you what songs are on the record or whatever.A person would have to be buying by title only on an auction like that.

I listed about 85 auctions under my other eBay name the last 3 days. I was checking to see if there were any others like mine and I found a few. Mine are detailed...pictures, information, etc. 2 of the ones I found had NO pictures, there were spelling errors, next to NO information at all. And guess what? They had BIDS!! I realize mine just went up and are just being searched now but if I find 2 identical widgets, one has a picture and one doesn't, one has a description and one has a few words thrown in I know which one I'd bid on...and it wouldn't be the no picture one. I can understand not having a scanner or camera but if you don't shouldn't you at least put forth the effort to write up a decent description?

Absolutely correct! I will NOT buy from a seller who takes no time to at least do a decent description. I probably go overboard with the descriptions but at least I leave no doubt what it is and what shape its in. For instance..A friend gave me Three HUGE boxes of Star Wars vintage stuff....a little of everything...I have taken several months of research to try to identify all the little stuff so I can write a decent description of stuff I know nothing about....sometimes it takes a bit of time but its worth it. And eliminates a lot of problems later. So I cannot understand why someone can't take one minute or so to write a simple one. Maybe they should take the dollar signs off their eyeballs long enough to see what they are doing wrong....LOL!!!
