Ok, now I have uploaded my pictures to my hard drive. Now how do I get them on my eBay auctions & what would the URL be?
I haven't the slighest idea & really need help.

1. The pictures on your hard drive need to be uploaded to a website somewhere on the Internet. You need to have webspace somewhere, either through your ISP (free), or one that you pay for.
If you do not have space through your ISP then try out a place like http://www.pair.com/pair/shared/ftp.html. You will pay $4.95 a month for 50 MB webspace. There are also other free sites.
2. You will need to upload your images using an FTP program (File Transfer Protocol). Go to www.tucows.com and search for WS_FTP LE (freeware). This is a very easy FTP program. There are also other good ones -- but DO NOT use CUTE_FTP which is a known spyware program.
3. Once you have found a webspace, you will find that they will also be able to advise you how to set up the FTP program. It is really very straightforward, and once set up you will be able to upload with just the click of a button.

mcjane: You might want to check out eBay's Photo Hosting service:

Just use ebaY's free photo hosting. It is easy to use. You get 2 free per auction.

You do have web space on AOL. In keyword type in my ftp space and click on see my ftp space. You can upload your files there. It is very easy. I can't remeber how much web space you have on AOL.

You get 2MB storage space per screen name on AOL. It would pay you to use the AOL, because the photos hosted by eBay look very bad.

I've only tried to list one auction using ebay's photo system so far. But my photo looks just fine.

Photoloft is free, tons of space, (50mb I think) & the url is right beside the pictures, so you can just go down the line of pictures copying/pasting the url to your auction form.

Maybe you can just describe your items using clever adjectives. You see this all the time on eBay ... terms like "Rare", "Ultra-Rare", "Out of Print", "Mint", etc. seem to hook a lot of buyers.

clevergirl: I don't have the articles handy, but Cute_FTP is coded to track your whereabouts on the Web. Of course they don't disclose that upfront....
Try WS_FTP LE instead - it is very easy to use.
